What leaves your browser

The Valydex assessment needs no account and no email address. Your answers are scored on your own device. This page lists everything that is sent anywhere, and shows how to check it yourself.

Stays on your device

Your assessment answers: Scored in your browser. They are not uploaded to create your result.
Your score, gaps and action plan: Calculated in your browser from your answers.
The PDF report: Generated in your browser and saved straight to your device.
A saved plan and ticked actions: Stored in this browser's local storage only after you click Save. "Clear my data" removes it.
The private plan link: Answers are placed after the # in the address. Browsers do not send that part to any server. It leaves your device only if you share the link.
Calendar reminders: A file created in your browser. It contains a link back to Valydex, not your answers or score.

Sent only when you ask

Optional AI summary

Only after you tick the consent box and click Generate. Valydex sends a summary to its server and to OpenAI: score, grade, top gaps, suggested actions, matched tools and strengths. Your individual answers are not included. The request asks OpenAI not to store the response. Without consent, the server refuses the request.

Email security checker

The domain you type is sent to the Valydex server, which looks up its public DNS records (such as SPF and DMARC). No mailbox or message is read.

Anonymous measurement

Valydex counts visits and a few actions so it can tell which pages are useful and whether product links are used. It cannot tell who you are or what you answered.

Page views and five named events: assessment started, assessment completed, report downloaded, review opened and product link clicked.
Events carry only the page path and, where relevant, the assessment tier, a product ID and where on the page a link sat. Never answers, scores or free text.
Query strings and anything after # are removed before a page view is sent.
If your browser sends Do Not Track, no events or page views are recorded.
The service is Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use third-party cookies and discards its visitor hash after 24 hours.

What any website sees

Pages are served by Vercel. Like every web server, it receives your IP address and browser type with each request for a page or file.
Tool logos and images are served from valydex.com itself. The site loads no third-party fonts, image services or advertising scripts.
When you follow a link to a vendor, that vendor sees your visit. Links marked as affiliate links may carry a referral code so the vendor can credit Valydex. See the affiliate disclosure.

Check it yourself

Open the assessment in Chrome, Edge or Firefox and press F12 (Cmd+Option+I on a Mac) to open developer tools.
Select the Network tab and filter by Fetch/XHR.
Answer the questions and view your results. You will see analytics events, but no request containing your answers.
To see what the browser has stored, open the Application (or Storage) tab and look under Local Storage and Session Storage for valydex.com.
